Airports in the snow
Someone from the public asked the Gatwick Operations Manager last night, why runways are not heated to keep snow melted, as they cannot use sand or salt.
Fair question I thought.
The Manager skipped over the answer though and said they can't use sand as bits can get in engines and salt erodes the planes!

UK failure for World Cup
Now people in the UK are waking up to:
Blatter is a two faced pensioner living off self importance and greed
We all know Platini absolutely hates the British and it's football.
These 2 alone will stop the UK staging anything for football.

UK average house price
Today it stands at STG 167,900 in the not too distant future it will stand at STG 145,000
Banks are still not lending unless it's for 14-20%
Mortgages are only 4%, so why would they lend at this level?
Because the government is weak in ordering them to. Until this is resolved then the economy will not pick up.
Plus of course when they do lend then Inflation will have gone up.
Also, the USA hasn't picked up yet so expect a fall back in the GDP and forecast on growth in the UK
