Fracking given the go ahead in the Queens speech

Fracking is a relatively new process of obtaining gas from about 1-2 klms beneath the ground.
In the Queens speech the government has given the go ahead for such a process in order to put more profit into the corporate pocket, because there is no way on Earth that the consumer will benefit.

However, if we look at practicality, if you take something from the Earth, what can you replace it with in physical matter.
In Fracking they bore into the ground, take the gas and then leave!
Bear in mind that they can bore under homes without permission.

The conundrum will be eventually, when homes start to fall into big holes, who can we sue?
Is it the government or the corporate companies?
