BP

So BP are trying to appease the USA by installing a Yankee boss!
Well it might work and it might not. If it does then they are more gullible than I thought.

However, share a thought for the Tony Hawayd the outgoing boss!!
He has been given a pension of about GBP 930,000 a year and has been given a non-executive
position with the Russian joint venture TNK-BP.
Now when I was in Russia it was horrible apart from being -22c.
The people were drinking at 9am going to work and that was the women, so it gives you an idea of life over there, that the women have to drink to forget their existance at 9am.
However, it is one of the worst currupt and mafia run places in the world, still full of KGB. I remember BP had to pay off the Russian government to get the venture going, even after BP had already been given a license.
The Russians didn't like it so they ordered the joint venture.It's called dangle the carrot and then screw them!
If I was Tony Hayward I would say thanks but no thanks and grab the money and run!!
