After yet another stupid council person thought of naming the Norfolk Broads ( pretty flat land with canals and holiday makers on barges) to the Magical Wonderland and other ideas and laws that waste money which is out tax money and no accountability I have decided to start a new website.
I have a number of friends willing to help.
The website is to list any stupid and PC rule/law and then name and shame the person who put it forward.
Also, we will try and list the cost to the tax payer.
It will be a community website and will cover:
++National Governments
++Local Councils
++EU Parliament
++Any Country
We know it goes on, but there is no accountability or transparency to these rules/laws and in most cases no referendum. These are generally brought in to appease associations, help corporations, help new ideas.
Example:
Light bulbs must be energy saving and new light bulbs must be produced.
Why? the others have lasted for tens of years.
The new light bulbs are a con to help the manufacturing industry.
In Amsterdam the new bulbs cost about Euro5.5 compared to a normal light bulb of about 50p.
Then it states they last for 5 years. Well mine lasted 2 weeks!!!
So the governments or in this case the EU help the light bulb people initially, by helping them make more money. In return we the government gets more tax! Well not if they last 5 years!
So it's all nonesense. What about the people who can't stand fluourescent lights. Like me it causes me a reading problem and some people have already stated it gives them a migraine!!
